How to use this calculator
- Add each cash flow with date and amount.
- Use negative amounts for investments and positive for redemptions or current value.
- Read the annualised XIRR when the solver converges.
Formula & assumptions
Find rate r such that Σ CF_i / (1+r)^(t_i) = 0, solved numerically (Newton-Raphson with bisection fallback).
Example: Invest −₹1,00,000, later −₹50,000, then redeem ₹2,00,000 — XIRR reflects timing, not just simple profit %.
Factors that affect the result
- Cash flow amounts
- Exact dates
